It is quite evident when you look at the fires despite the light winds with the fire plumes detected on radar that we are nowhere near out of it. It also displays trouble spots for the coming days as winds veer more westerly again. Second picture is the fire plume near Warragamba

  1. Yeah it only took a moderately warm day for the fires to flare up again. These smoke plumes will get bigger and uglier on the weekend,,and become significant on radar once again. Sadly still lots of hard work ahead for the fire fighters. The fires at higher elevations will be the worst ones,exposed to more NW winds and lower humidity. The ones closest to me,,could potentially make a run into town on Tuesday where there’s a threat of NW winds pushing quite a way east.
