If this prediction comes through, then this is going to provide some very heavy rainfall for the region near Taree in excess of 100mm. Some heavy rain has already occurred along the coastal region south of Sydney and also parts of the coastal region north of Sydney in the past 24 to 36 hours.
A low as expected should develop enhancing a pressure gradient onto this part of the coast. However, a region of convergence most likely is responsible for the predictions of these high totals. Interesting to see if it verifies.
