Same supercell day Nevertire

A few video stills from yesterday big storm! Given the barrage here, there were a few close bolts. In one case, I saw a flash on my right hand side and very loud crashing thunder. I had felt like a warmth

(sensible heat just after the flash). Is it possible to feel noticeable heat from lightning that is nearby a few hundred metres away?

Furthermore, you know it's getting dangerous when bolts are dropping behind you - yes from the anvil!

  1. Great shots. I love lightning pics. Bought a lightning trigger for my canon d that I canโ€™t wait to use. โšก๏ธโšก๏ธโšก๏ธโšก๏ธ

  2. When l was young l had a sizeable bolt of lightening hit the ground about 2 meters from me, the strangest thing happened to myself and my small dog. We were both sucked flat on the ground with our arms and legs spread out as far as they would go. I don’t remember hitting the ground, it happened too quickly but as l lay there unable to get up l remember staring into the eyes of the poor terrified dog who was spread out just as l was. I have often wondered what on earth had caused it.

  3. There is one thing to be amazing by these incredible photos then there is the respect and recognition that you were in perfect position to capture them. Well done wise man ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
