After some extensive heat in South Australia and Victoria followed by NSW, there is the possibility that major bush fires may be cooled by the prospect of rainfall. Some falls can reach as high as 60 to 80 mm in parts of the border regions but generally most rainfall will be in the vicinity of 10 to 30mm. This should provide much relief to fire fighters in parts of NSW as well as ease of some of the dry periods in these areas.
