Another active phase has once again developed across the Coral Sea with the development of two tropical cyclones possible and a tropical low off north western Australia. Although serious concern is for the massive system in the Coral Sea, closer to home the focus has to be the development of a tropical cyclone within the next 24 - 48 hours off Cape York Peninsular. Strong winds and heavy rainfall are in the prognosis as per norm.

  1. A satellite photo of the system taken late 10/3/2015 shows the storm system still well of the north Queensland Coast. When zoomed in closer, there is still no defined eye but cumulonimbus cloud formations are observed.

The storm still needs to develop further but the photo does show a distinct storm forming at least in its infancy.
