Storms developed along a SE change with an upper level trough and associated destabilisation during the morning period. A hailstorm moved from Penrith through to the Northern Beaches. The storm intesified near Riverstone producing damaging winds and haildrifts of several centimetres. Unfortunately, I could not chase on this day but did see trees down and heard quite a few reports of small trees and awnings being flipped over. I will try getting some pictures. I am surprised that given the structure of the storm on radar that a warnign was not issued.

Another storm developed just south of Cessnock and headed through to Tocal and then on to Coolongolook and weakening near Foster. incidently, this is the 3rd severe storm that has hit the Coolongolook region in the last couple of months - the last storm being just last week!
