It has been a month now 21st March 2015 when an event perhaps one of the most significant in years produced monster hailstones (probably about 5" hailstones 12.5cm), extreme lightning and damaging microbursts. The most impacted towns were Narrabri in NSW and Chinchilla in Queensland. Supercells were widespread across the region with giant hailstones falling from any of the most significant cells.
