Sydney Storms Spectacular 18th December 2021
After a hot and humid day, storms developed over the southern parts of NSW near Canberra during the late afternoon. Gradually these congealed into a line and progressed northwards to the Southern Tabelands and then Sydney. Some strong winds hit western and southern Sydney with the passed of this line but also heavy rain fell in some suburbs including Penrith.
A spectacular display of lightning occurred including some anvil crawlers and staccato lightning.
