29th September 1996 Tornado Outbreak Anniversary

Published by:

The 29th September once again reminded me of the outbreak way back in 1996 when 3 tornadoes were reported and confirmed.

Two tornadoes are show here. A full report of the Bearbung Tornado was written researching that event at that time. The other damaging tornado at Bundella was also documented at that time.

The third tornado occurred at Elong Elong. This was a classic system!

Fast Moving Storms Sydney and NSW 28th September 2012

Published by:

Hi,

After a very warm day with gusty winds, the storms moved in during the night about 9-10pm. Being so high based, the storms moved rather rapidly and are already off the coast as I type. There were a few anvil crawlers and moderately frequent lightning flashes lighting up the sky. The rain was heavy but only for a couple of brief bursts.
