Grampians bushfires Map 17th January 2014 Victorian_bushfires_17th_january_2014Extreme fires conditions have created conditions of escalating bushfires with houses lost and at least one person killed in western Victoria. Emergency warnings are in place for the regions near the Grampians National Park where some residents have been asked to leave. In other areas, some people have been asked to remain given it was too late to leave. Over 40 bushfires are burning out of control across Victoria and a serious fire with an emergency warning is also burning in South Australia. Lives and property are under threat and fires are also threatening Renmark.
