Very Dangerous Severe Thunderstorms with Intense Rainfall Good Coast

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:05 am, very dangerous and slow moving thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Russell Island, Macleay Island and South Stradbroke Island,” the Bureau of Meteorology warned.

“Very dangerous thunderstorms are forecast to affect Coomera, Hope Island and waters off South Stradbroke Island by 5:35 am and Southport and waters off from Gold Coast Seaway by 6:05 am.”

Intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding is likely.

Over 244mm of rain has already fallen in Southport. Expect higher totals!
