NSW Northern Tablelands Storm Chase 8 December 2012

Here's some photos taken between Copmanhurst (near Grafton) and Mallanganee (west of Casino) on Saturday 8th Dec. Rodney Wallbridge was at the wheel for this storm chase. Cells propogated in a generally northerly direction with nothing becoming too severe visually, apart from at the start at Copmanhurst (first photo).

Most of the lightning was in the precip core which made it feel 'less stormy' than you hope for as a few more CGs would have topped off the day. The Clarence Way between Grafton and Tabulam is a commitment for a chase as there are no east-west options to get you back on the Summerland Way, though on days like this one (with steering flow towards the north) it works out ok.
