Monday earlier this week, during the early dawn hours, a cell passed through here in Adelaide. Thanks to the watchful eyes of Rowland Beardsell, he detected a fairly significant couplet. The coldie tornadopassed about 2km from our area the house where we are staying! (I incidentally I had arrived the night before from Sydney).
I did a survey of what I could given I was on way to work and it seems to check out as a tornado! Brendon Simmons did a longer tracked survey to add to the detailed damage reports of Rowland. The South Australian guys are very passionate about their documentation.
I wrote an article with courtesy to both Rowland and Brendon.
