Hi Jimmy and all.  Got a storm chase in yesterday afternoon. Was quite a hot day here (35) and the southerly change managed to get things going as it progressed northwards through the region.  Some interesting activity with very large rain free bases at times. Hail/damaging wind warning was issued by the BoM. Certainly encountered the strong winds - and heavy rain too !   31mm at home, 19 of which fell in the storm at a peak rate of 183mm/hr.

Today overcast with drizzle about. Al and Katrina have gone to the Gold Coast for the usual school holidays shopping trip.
