Been away chasing.

Storm wise, my trip began quiet including spending New Years Eve in Narrandera. There were storms including the ones on the ranges (Canberra copped a slow moving dump of hail) and the storms further out. I didn't bother with either of the regions given the distance I would have had to cover compared to what could be achieved. The 1st January 2007 began with some high based but very lightning active storms and heavy rains - great for the northwest regions of New South Wales and southwest regions of Queensland.

But that storm on the 2nd January 2007 was simply an awesome sight! Deep inflow and deep layer shear helped sculpture the storm. And the dust feeding in made this a fairly unique event for me and made the whole trip worthwhile. Will post the photos on the forum soon.
