Hi Jimmy,

Been nice to see a return to an unsettled weather pattern despite it being an onshore flow. Upper temps are quite low even up here with the Brisbane sounding showing 500hPa temps around -18. Combined with the moist lower atmosphere and dry uppers, some large cumulus and cumulonimus has formed over the past 24 hours - mainly along the coast.  Some very photogenic cells passed by here yesterday afternoon.

The structure was remarkably similar in structure to an event just over two years ago

No doubt the weather pattern was much the same.   It should remain unstable for the next 2 days before the upper trough weakens a bit.
