Hi Jimmy - still some bushfires around but they are fairly minor at this stage with no property under threat. Guess it will only take a couple of high 20 C days and strong westerly to cause havoc. No rain for 6 weeks straight on top of the rest of the year being dry. The Northern Rivers is normally the first part of the state to come under bushfire threats, but it is about 4-6 weeks early this year.

I have no guess about when the patterns will change - can't see any positive signs in the model output at present.
