Heat still didn't make it this far north yesterday but that should change today with mid 30s likely away from the strong seabreezes. Some storms are possible on the ranges in the west of the Northern Rivers. Cricket Test Match starts today so no afternoon media work for me this arvo - perhaps I'll get in a storm chase ...
Finally a much cooler start due to a weak SE change that came through yesterday evening.
Hot conditions persisting - bushfire flared up in the background near Mt Tomah. It was tiring and a long day. The bushfires had not threatened homes yet - it seems undecided whether it will attack the northern side of the valley or the southern side. Much of the Grose Valley has been burnt out - if this includes the rainforest, it will never recover. The fire continues to spread with another chance next week to grab a ride with the northwesterlies.
