Finally a much cooler start due to a weak SE change that came through yesterday evening.
Hot conditions persisting - bushfire flared up in the background near Mt Tomah. It was tiring and a long day. The bushfires had not threatened homes yet - it seems undecided whether it will attack the northern side of the valley or the southern side. Much of the Grose Valley has been burnt out - if this includes the rainforest, it will never recover. The fire continues to spread with another chance next week to grab a ride with the northwesterlies.
